About Kindred Founders
A business village for women building differently
Kindred Founders is a conscious business community for women who are building meaningful businesses and want to do it in a way that feels more human, more sustainable and more like them.

We're a UK-based online community for female founders, creatives, coaches, consultants and practitioners who are ambitious about their work, but aren't interested in building successful businesses at the expense of themselves, their relationships or their lives.

Because we're not anti-ambition, we're just asking different questions about what we're ambitious for.

What if business could feel more like a village?
For a long time, building a business has felt pretty lonely, but we were never really designed to do everything alone.

We need people around us. people who know our work, people who understand the season we're in, people who celebrate the good stuff and sit beside us when things feel wobbly, people who challenge our thinking, share what they've learned and occasionally remind us who we are.
​
That's the thinking behind Kindred - we're creating a business village, not another networking machine.
Not a place where you're expected to pitch yourself to strangers or turn every conversation into a potential lead.
​
A place where business and soul can sit at the same table.
Soulful, but not fluffy.
Strategic, but not soulless.
Kindred sits in that interesting space between the two.

We care about the business, the money, the offers, the marketing, the visibility, the decisions, the strategy - the things that actually make a business work.
​
But we also care about the woman building it - her energy, her intuition, her creativity, her values, her sense of what comes next.
​
Because sometimes the next business decision isn't just a business decision, sometimes you need to come back to yourself first. That's part of what we mean by conscious business.
​
To build with intention, to question the defaults and notice what isn't working, to make decisions that feel aligned with both your ambitions and who you are becoming.
Who is Kindred Founders Community for?
If you're looking for traditional networking, a constant stream of leads or a room full of people trying to sell to you, we're probably not that.

Kindred is for women building businesses around work that matters to them.​ You'll find female founders, solopreneurs, coaches, consultants, creatives, designers, writers, practitioners and service-based business owners here.
​
Some are established, some are still finding their feet, some are building something entirely new after years in another career - what they tend to have in common is a desire to build something meaningful, and a feeling that there must be another way to do it.​

If you're looking for thoughtful business conversations, genuine relationships, practical support, inspiration, perspective and people who understand why your business matters to you, you might have found your place.
Kindred was born from a simple idea
I'm Lucy, the founder of Kindred Founders and the person behind Fresh Leaf Creative.
​
I've spent years working with women on their brands and businesses, and I've seen how often the real challenge isn't a lack of information, it's having somewhere to think, to ask the question you haven't quite figured out yet. Somewhere to be with people who get it.​
​
Kindred grew from that need.
​
It's a space where business strategy, personal growth, creativity and connection can sit alongside each other without cancelling one another out.
​
And we're still figuring out what it can become, that's part of the point - a village isn't something one person builds alone.
