Frequently asked questions
- 01Absolutely! You've found your place.Kindred Founders is a welcoming space for women building businesses at all stages of life and most of our members are midlife founders, creatives and entrepreneurs who are entering a new chapter of business and self-discovery.For many women, midlife is a time of reassessment and reinvention. It’s a time when we stop following the paths we were told we should take and start asking deeper questions:What do I really want to create? What gifts and experience do I want to share? How can I build a business that fits the person I have become?Kindred Founders is not built around hustle culture, startup stereotypes or trying to keep up with the latest trends. It’s a community for women who want to build more intentionally — with more self-trust, authenticity and alignment. Our members range from their 30s through to their 70s, with many founders in their 40s, 50s and beyond. We believe life experience is an advantage in business, and that the wisdom, skills and stories we gather along the way are some of our greatest assets. If you’re creating your next chapter and want to build alongside women who understand that journey, you’ll find a warm welcome here.
- 02Kindred Founders is designed to fit around your life, your business and your energy, not add another layer of pressure. We know what it feels like to be building a business alongside all the other responsibilities and seasons of life. Many of our members are midlife founders navigating changing priorities, busy lives and fluctuating energy. This isn’t another community where you’re expected to show up constantly, prove yourself or keep up with everyone else.Think of Kindred as a space you can return to whenever you need it, somewhere to ask a question, share a win, find encouragement, join a conversation or simply reconnect with women who understand the journey. We believe community works best when it feels supportive, not demanding, so there are no attendance targets, no pressure to perform and no expectation to be “on” all the time. We respect that everyone has different seasons, capacities and ways of contributing.Sometimes the greatest value of belonging is simply knowing there is somewhere you can come home to. A space where you can be yourself, connect with other women building meaningful businesses, and remember that you’re not doing this alone.
- 03If you're looking for a different kind of networking experience, you may feel at home in Kindred. Our Wheel of the Year Seasonal Business Gatherings offer a slower, more intentional approach to networking for female founders and women business owners.Rather than traditional networking events where people quickly pitch their businesses and exchange contacts, our gatherings focus on meaningful conversations, reflection, connection and community.Inspired by seasonal rhythms, these gatherings create space to meet like-minded women, share ideas and explore how nature’s cycles can influence our businesses, creativity and marketing. They are ideal for women who value deeper relationships, thoughtful conversations and a more human approach to networking. Our online seasonal business networking events are also a great way to try out the community before joining.Find out more here: Wheel of the Year Networking

- 08A heart-led business approach means building your business from a place of alignment. Where your values, strengths, lived experience and natural way of working are reflected in the way you create, market and grow. For Kindred Founders, being heart-led doesn't mean ignoring strategy, ambition or financial sustainability. It means choosing a different foundation. It means asking:What feels true for me and the people I serve? How can I build a business that honours my energy and capacity? How can I share my gifts without losing myself in the process? How can I grow in a way that feels sustainable rather than driven by pressure? Heart-led founders are not stepping away from success. They are redefining it
